Children living in Windsor Forest attend public schools operated by the Williamsburg-James City County Public School Division, a joint school system that serves both localities. In recent years, Expansion Management magazine, which rates school systems nationally, has consistently rated this system with a gold ribbon, indicating ranking in the top 17% nationally of systems evaluated. Windsor Forest children attend the following public schools: J.
